The impromptu KL trip

And so I have been ignoring my blog for a while. The reason is because I was feeling a bit apprehensive about sharing things in my life. The fear of letting strangers know what I have been doing. NOT!

It's just that there is nothing interesting enough to write about. I guess it is some sort of writer's block.

Why the sudden update? Cause you see, ppl, I am actually on the plane now (when I am writing this). On my way across the sea to west Malaysia.

So nice right that I am 'on holiday'? Sorry to disappoint but I am going there on a .... Low secret mission. What the heck is low secret mission? It is 'low' because family and some friends already know about it. Even though I live alone, I still got to let them know that I will be away. Can't risk another ambush to my house thinking that I am dead or something.

AC friends, remember the time I over slept and u guys ambush my house? Man, I was so embarrassed!

Back to the topic. I can't remember the last time I have to fly alone. Seems like I have always fly with somebody whenever I get to fly. And almost each time I will choose to sleep (and get rudely kept awake by my companion). But this trip... I find myself sleepless and watching my row mates sleeping like a log. Erm... The guy across the aisle is actually reading a book now. I wish I could sleep. Late night plus super early morning is not really my cup of tea.

Btw, i am flying by MAS. Surprisingly it is cheaper than airasia and so.... MAS it is. My nasi lemak breakfast sucks. Long bean is not meant to be boiled and placed in enclosed container. It tasted weird. The boiled baby prawns are also kind of not fresh. Boo....

I am looking forward to do doing some shopping. Did I mention that I am a shopaholic? Even though I am looking to some shopping, I am actually budget-less!! Sad!! Fail!!!

Ok... At this point, I am actually running out of idea and.. The plane is experiencing some turbulence. I am just cruising along. Lol. Scared? Not really... What can I do right? I am no pilot. Ok... Now I am getting a bit sleepy. Sleep mode!

Luxurious lifestyle

Recently NBA has been the rage, I guess... Friends around me are like watching and talking about basketball the whole time...

Then I also noticed on facebook that Fan fan and her husband have been attending NBA games live..from side of the court...and I am envious. Yes, I am envious of them being able to go and watch the game live. Personally however I dont really enjoy sports...Then maybe I will be playing the 'spot the celebs in the spectators' or take pics of the celebs that attend the games... Or maybe I will be immersing myself into the game so much that I fell in love with it..But, it is a moot point because it is not happening yet.

That doesnt stop me from day dreaming of course... I imagine myself going to buy ticket to the games...tickets such as appalachian state mountaineers tickets, arizona state sun devils tickets or arizona wildcats tickets... and all this from ticketamerica.com as it has NCAA college seating for every event on campus for the Appalachian State Mountaineers, Arizona State Sun Devils University and the cross town rival, the Arizona Wildcats. Sitting at the sidelines watching the 'battle' on the field. Wouldnt that be exciting?

as if i am a psychic

Talking about restaurant that long ago... I didnt imagine that a friend of mine actually opened a restaurant during 2011 and i volunteered to help out...and somehow ended up working for her for the first seven months of her restaurant.

The experience gave me a whole new perspective on running a restaurant. There is so many aspect to become a successful restaurant. Somehow I dont think I will be able to open a restaurant unless ..maybe if... I go and get myself trained in some other big restaurants to gain more experience.

A new venture

I had a talk with a relative recently. Apparently one have to venture into different types of business to be successful. And to be successful in each venture, there must be sacrifices either monetary or time wise.

One of the ventures that intrigues me is restaurant business.

The first thing is to select your food style. It can be something that you have created, you get ppl to cook it or by a franchise.

Secondly..the restaurant equipment. I believe normal household equipment is not enough to handle the high volume of a restaurant. Apart from that, you might need stuff like bakery display cases (for the cakes, brownies..of yum)... bar supplies... also the usual thing like refrigerator and freezer... Then when the restaurant gains a bit of popularity, the next step is to be a caterer so that you can get your brand name to more people...and you will need catering supplies and a vehicle to properly transport all the catered food to the locations.

Time and effort are important ingredients to make a business venture successful.

p/s I think restaurant cleanliness is very important. A dirty restaurant means bad reputation. Btw, I am imagining a fully air-conditioned restaurant and I hate to see dirty toilets or to imagine that the restaurant kitchen is dirty... It will be ghastly. That's why janitorial supplies is so important.

Hiatus

I havent been posting for more than a year. amazing how time just flies... During this one year, I have been adapting to a new working environment...and I am still adjusting. It seems that I am still in the invisible mode which suits me just fine.

Will be going on an out-of-the-country trip with my mum. It’s her once-every-two-years treat to me. I shall be touring Taiwan and hoping to eat as much food as I possibly can. Do as much shopping as my purse will allow.

But before that, my flu and cough better be gone because I don’t want to look sickly in my travel photos.

What should I get?

Got invited to a christmas party and I have not gotten the present ready yet. Oh no~!!

I seems to be infected with flu virus... at this time..when it is holidays season. I think I will swallow loads of vitamin c when I go home and sleep the whole afternoon. Hopefully that will work and I will be ok.

The gift... That is something I am going to have to think long and hard. Something that can be suitable for a guy or a girl. I am considering a few options.

One of them is to buy toiletries... But the risk is that the fragrance - I cant differentiate the feminine or masculine fragrance.

Then, there this is this iTunes Online gift. I will be able to customize my gift according to the person I want to give to. No worries about it.

Got to rush out. Need to check that iTunes out asap. There isn't much time left.

Sorry for being away for so long. A lot of things has happened and I just keep delaying and missing out on a lot of stuff.

Sigh...

Did learn that I have to let go of some issues that have been bothering me. Feel pointless to let them get on my nerves.
